According to Faf du Plessis, Jasprit Bumrah was the difference between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the IPL 2024 match. The speedster took five wickets and looked unplayable in a game where other bowlers went for runs. He took Virat Kohli’s wicket and returned to dismantle the rivals’ batting-line. He bowled toe-crushing yorkers, bouncers, hard length, and slower ones to keep the RCB batters guessing. His teammate, Suryakumar Yadav, knows about the fear the bowler breeds in the batters’ minds.
“I have told the MI management that I will not face Jasprit Bumrah in the nets, and I have actually been doing it for the last few years. He is the best in the world, and there is hardly you can do anything against him as a batter. He once again showed what he can do with the ball. He didn’t allow RCB to go past 200 runs and bowled one of the best bowling spell I have ever seen,” Suryakumar Yadav said.
Bumrah has taken ten wickets in five games at an average of 11.90 and an economy rate of 5.95. He was given the Purple Cap after the contest against Bengaluru.
He connected just 21 runs for his five scalps in the latest game.
