The carmaker expects the Grenadier SUV to outsell the Quartermaster pickup by 4:1 or even 5:1

Ineos wants to grow its retail presence across North America to bump up sales in the U.S. and Canada for the Grenadier SUV and the Grenadier Quartermaster pickup truck.
The British company currently operates 18 dealerships in 14 U.S. states and has two dealers in Canada. Greg Clark, the executive vice president for Ineos in the Americas, says the automaker is looking to add five to six dealerships this year and is particularly keen to expand into the Phoenix metro area and greater Washington D.C. It also wants to grow in the New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut areas.

While speaking with Auto News, Clark added that the Midwest is also a focus for the firm as it currently has just a single dealership in the region, located in Lake Bluff, Illinois. Ineos is also targeting Calgary and Edmonton for its expansion before the firm touches down in Mexico towards the end of this year.
U.S. deliveries of the Grenadier started around Thanksgiving, and in the ensuing months, the car manufacturer has delivered roughly 4,200 vehicles to buyers, which accounts for approximately two-thirds of all preorders.
“We’re off to a really solid start in the U.S.,” Ineos Automotive chief executive Lynn Carter told Auto News. “It’s been our strongest market by a long way. It’s not been a huge surprise, but it’s been really comforting, I suppose, that what we hoped would happen is happening. We’re in 14 states at the moment. That’s scratching the surface of what is a very large country.”
In April, Ineos announced that the Grenadier-based Quartermaster pickup would start at $86,900 in the U.S. This represents a significant jump over the $71,500 starting price of the Grenadier SUV. A key reason for the price discrepancy is that the Quartermaster is built at the firm’s Hambach, France plant and is subject to the 25% U.S. ‘Chicken Tax’ on foreign-made trucks.
Ineos will start production of North America-spec Quartermasters in July. Just 50 units will be shipped to North America for the 2024 model year, all of which will be used as demonstration or marketing vehicles. Customers will take delivery of 2025 models before the end of this year.
