- Preheat the oven to 375°F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Use and electric hand mixer to combine the butter and sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy. Add the egg, extract and orange zest and beat until combined. Stir in the flour and almonds.
- Drop by teaspoonfuls 3 inches apart onto the prepared baking sheet. You can sprinkle a bit more orange zest on top, if you’d like.
