Arshdeep Singh, whom the Punjab Kings released, has returned to the same franchise. They used an RTM card to bring back the left-arm pacer for INR 18 crore. He is the leading wicket-taker for India on the list of pacers in T20Is and was impressive in the recently concluded four-match series against South Africa.
In 65 matches, he has taken 76 wickets at an average of 27.00 and an economy of 9.03.
Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings fought for his name for a long time, and the bids continued to pour in. After CSK pulled out, Gujarat Titans entered the race. Royal Challengers Bengaluru showed their interest in the pacer after Delhi stopped bidding. Rajasthan Royals also tried their luck for the seamer after RCB refused. Sunrisers Hyderabad then had a competition with RR.
SRH bought Arshdeep for INR 15.75 crore, but Punjab used RTM for the bowler to reach their top target. Sunrisers raised their bid to INR 18 crore, which PBKS matched to get the player.
