Aniket Verma has taken the IPL by storm with his explosive batting. In just 57 balls, he smashed 12 sixes and 5 fours, proving why he is IPL’s latest power-hitting sensation. But who is Aniket Verma?
Hailing from Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, Aniket plays domestic cricket for Madhya Pradesh. Before the IPL auction, he had played just one T20 match, making him a relatively unknown name. However, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) scouts spotted his raw talent, picking him up at his base price of ₹30 lakh. That gamble is now paying off in style!
Aniket is not just a big hitter—he also brings all-round ability with his right-arm medium pace. In many ways, he is a like-for-like replacement for Nitish Kumar Reddy in the SRH squad. His ability to easily clear boundaries has made him a nightmare for bowlers in the IPL.
With such an explosive start, Aniket Verma is now one of the most exciting young players to watch out for. As IPL’s newest six-hitting machine, he is proving that one chance is all it takes to shine on the biggest stage!
