- Panther Pink paint added $29,995 to the Jailbreak’s already high MSRP of $150,946.
- Only 40 Jailbreak units were built, each finished in a unique, exclusive color choice.
- This one-off Demon 170 Jailbreak was auctioned off with just 36 miles on the odometer.
The Challenger SRT Demon 170 is already a standout in Dodge’s muscle car lineup, but the automaker quietly built something even more exclusive: the Jailbreak edition.

While anyone with deep enough pockets could technically order a standard Demon 170, the Jailbreak version was reserved for a very select group—just 40 buyers handpicked by Dodge received an invitation to purchase one. Each of those 40 cars left the factory with a unique, one-off paint finish, ensuring no two are alike. No duplicates, no reruns.
In collector circles, rarity isn’t just a bonus, it’s currency. That’s likely why, even as some regular Demon 170s have struggled to find buyers at recent auctions, one of these ultra-rare Jailbreak editions just sold for an extraordinary $450,000. Go ahead and let that number sink in for a minute.
One Color, One Car
Those who accepted Dodge’s invitation to buy a Jailbreak could choose between 20 legacy colors from the brand’s palette and 20 newer options. Just a single example for each color was produced. This one is painted in Panther Pink, the same color that Dodge offered back in the 1970s for the Challenger. The one-off paint finish added $29,995 to the car’s sticker price, although with an original price of $150,946, it now sounds like a bargain.
The car was listed on Bring a Trailer, having been acquired earlier this year by the selling dealer. There’s no information on what they originally paid, or whether the $450K hammer price turned a profit, but considering the odometer reads just 36 miles (58 km), there’s a good chance it was bought as an investment. The ultimate muscle car appears flawless, with no visible blemishes or signs of wear.
Same Power, Flashier Paint
Underneath, the Jailbreak is mechanically identical to any other Demon 170. That means a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 that runs on E85 and delivers a staggering 1,025 horsepower and 945 lb-ft of torque, all sent to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic. No tweaks were made to the drivetrain—this one’s all about exclusivity and aesthetics.

It’d be fun to imagine this thing blasting down the quarter mile, but let’s be honest: with just 36 miles on the clock and a price tag that could buy you a single family house in most states, it’s probably headed straight for long-term storage. Maybe it’ll get rolled out for a Cars & Coffee in five years. Maybe. Or more likely, trying to break the six-figure auction in the future.
