Royal Challengers Bengaluru are on a roll in the Indian Premier League. They have won three matches while losing just one contest. Bengaluru are third in the points table and is tied with two other teams on 6 points. Gujarat Titans have played four games, but their net run-rate is better than Bengaluru. Delhi Capitals are the only unbeaten team in the tournament with three victories from as many matches.
The MI vs RCB match went close, with the latter registering a 12-run win after successfully defending 221.
Virat Kohli and Rajat Patidar scored the fifties, but it was Jitesh Sharma’s 40 runs off 19 balls that made the difference in the end. His effort took the total to 221/5. Navjot Singh Sidhu was pleased with the finishing touches of Jitesh and compared him to MS Dhoni and Hardik Pandya.
“The most important thing is how you finish the innings. The fragile middle order of RCB is looking powerful because of Tim David and Jitesh. Krunal can also bat. In some matches, David is playing impactful innings, while in some, Jitesh is giving his best with the bat.
“They both are doing wonders for RCB. Jitesh Sharma is finishing like MS Dhoni and Hardik Pandya. Jitesh should have been the Player of the Match because his knock changed the match,” Sidhu said.
