A clever beach hack that could be a game-changer has been shared online thanks to one tourist’s creative approach to keeping her feet free from sand. Liz Richards, who goes by the account name of @dailyorginalvids on Instagram, posted a video sharing her tip. She came up with a surprisingly simple way to rinse off sandy feet – no public showers or awkward towel scrubbing required.
Instead of struggling to brush off the stubborn sand before putting on her shoes, Liz heads straight to the sea with an empty plastic bag. She fills it up with seawater, then walks it back to her spot on the beach.
Holding the bag upright by its handles, she steps into it with her sandy feet. In just a few seconds, the sand is completely rinsed off.
When she steps out, her feet are shown to be totally clean – ready to slide into her footwear without any mess or discomfort.
The hack has caught the attention of beachgoers looking for easy ways to avoid bringing the beach back with them.
Not only is it effective, but it’s also quick, portable, and doesn’t require waiting in line for a beach shower.
If you’re planning a tropical holiday or just a sunny weekend by the coast, Liz’s plastic bag trick might just become your new go-to beach essential.
The video has so far picked up over 90,000 likes with one commenter describing the hack as a “good idea”.
Liz also replied to another commenter saying she always takes the plastic bag with her and ensures to reuse plastic bags rather than buying more, reports Daily Mail.
Another commenter said you could take the hack further by bringing baby powder to the beach.
One commenter posted: “You’re on vacation! Simply let them dry. The sand on my feet is the last thing on my mind when on holiday! Enjoy.”
Another person said: “Bottle of water to pour over your feet as you leave the beach makes more sense to me.”

With this easy tip, you could improve your beach experience and it makes a quick way to get your shoes back on for when you want to leave.
