David Miller is one of the best finishers in white-ball formats. However, Lucknow Super Giants are not making use of his power-hitting as the batter is getting a few balls to show his skills in the Indian Premier League 2025. Ayush Badoni and Abdul Samad are preferred over the South African Player.
Miller, who can hit big fours and sixes, needs promotion in the batting order to make a contribution. Former India player Sanjay Manjrekar is baffled by the current batting order of the southpaw. In the most recent game against the Rajasthan Royals, the Proteas cricketer batted at the No.6 slot and got 8 balls to make a difference. He managed just 7 runs in Lucknow’s total of 180/5.
“I think Lucknow Super Giants are wasting David Miller. He should be given a chance to face more balls. He has a tendency to go big after facing a few deliveries but the LSG team management hasn’t done anything yet, “Sanjay Manjrejkar.
Suresh Raina agreed with Sanjay but also added Abdul Samad to his list. “David Miller and Abdul Samad should be promoted in the batting order. For me, Abdul’s contribution was bigger than Avesh’s sensational bowling. He hit 27 runs from the last over of the Lucknow innings,” Suresh Raina said.
