- Bidding on this Audi RS6 Avant ended at $142,069, a substantial loss from sticker price.
- Carbon ceramic brakes and matte carbon package added nearly $40,000 in options.
- While the new owner got a decent deal, the car’s value will inevitably continue to fall.
Super estates don’t come much better than the 2025 Audi RS6 Avant Performance, a car that blends speed and practicality like a Formula 1 driver with a fully stocked grocery cart. But despite its impressive features, the seller of this particular RS6 has taken a $25,000 hit after driving it just 1,300 miles. How? Well, it’s loaded with nearly $40,000 in options, some of which, frankly, might not be worth the hefty price tags.

The base price for the RS6 Performance in the US starts at $126,600, but this particular example came with a rather shocking $167,140 sticker price. The biggest culprit is the $8,500 carbon ceramic brakes with gray calipers. Sure, they look cool and are great for track days, but for most owners who will never see a race track, they’re as unnecessary as a gold-plated spork.

Plenty of other pricey options have been added. For example, it has the $7,650 matte carbon package, which adds 22-inch matte black wheels, black roof rails, black badges, matte carbon exterior trim, and matte carbon wing mirror cases.
Then there’s the 4,900 upgraded Bang & Olufsen sound system, a $3,500 RS design package plus for the cabin, and the $3,050 Executive package. The original owner also paid $3,000 for a black Dinamica headliner, $2,500 for Night Vision assistant, and $2,000 for the Driver Assistance package. It also includes a $1,250 RS sport suspension package and a $1,000 RS sport exhaust.

While some of these extras might seem excessive, there’s one standout: the $595 Ascari Blue Metallic paint. It’s gorgeous. Similarly, the Mercato Blue contrast stitching found throughout the cabin adds to the premium feel of the RS6.
Bidding on the car ended at $142,069, so the new owner got a pretty good deal, at least compared to the seller. Of course, the depreciation curve for this RS6 is only just beginning, and it’ll inevitably continue to drop in value just like pretty much every other new car. But hey, if you can stomach the hit, why not use a blue Audi RS6 as your daily?
