Day 3 of the Ranji Trophy final between Mumbai and Vidharbha saw special guests as Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar and present skipper Rohit Sharma were in attendance.
BCCI took to Twitter to share a clip of the master blaster watching the game from the stands. It wrote, ‘A legendary presence at the Wankhede Stadium’.
Not just Sachin, but Rohit was also spotted watching Mumbai dominate the game. The hitman showed his support for domestic cricket by visiting the Mumbai dressing room during their Ranji Trophy final at the Wankhede Stadium on Tuesday. The popular opener was seen interacting with the Mumbai cricketers, which won the hearts of many on social media.
“Some quality cricket is being played by Mumbai and Vidarbha in the Ranji Trophy final. Earlier, the Mumbai bowlers troubled the Vidarbha batters, and now the Vidarbha bowlers are returning the favour. It has been a great match to watch! Now that the ball has been changed, my feeling is either a wicket will fall or batters will score freely.”
Mumbai are in a commanding position in the final, as the Ajinkya Rahane-led side, batting first, put 224 runs on the board. In reply, Vidarbha tumbled for just 105. In the second innings, Mumbai are 372/7 courtesy of century from Musheer Khan.
