Mumba Indians players are having fun ahead of the Indian Premier League 2024. Hardik Pandya is hogging the limelight after being appointed as captain of the five-time champions. On Friday, Ishan Kishan joined the banter by playing the role of the doppelganger of their bowling coach, Lasith Malinga.
In a video shared by the franchise, Ishan was seen donning the coloured wig to look like the former MI player. The legendary bowler didn’t like the way Ishan mimicked him but joined the fun as he smiled by looking at the southpaw.
Ishan Kishan joined the Mumbai Indians pre-season camp after training with captain Hardik in Baroda. He has been away from cricket since leaving the South Africa tour midway.
He was not offered a central contract after the young player refused to play for Jharkhand in the Ranji Trophy.
Lasith Malinga has returned to Mumbai Indians after working as a bowling coach for Rajasthan Royals for two seasons. MI bought two Sri Lankan bowlers in the form of Nuwan Thushara and Dilshan Madushanka, for the new season.
Mumbai Indians will play their first game against Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi stadium on Match 24.
