The updated Corvette now features a three-screen layout and removes the “button wall” from the console

- The 2026 Chevy Corvette interior ditches the wall of buttons for a three-screen layout.
- It features a larger 14-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.7-inch infotainment screen.
- The redesigned center console houses new tech features, including wireless charging.
If there’s one thing most C8 Corvette owners weren’t fond of, it was the so-called “wall of buttons” between the driver and passenger. Well, Chevrolet was clearly listening and has responded with the 2026 Corvette, bringing some significant interior upgrades across the entire lineup. From the Stingray to the ZR1, every model gets a fresh new three-screen layout, fewer buttons, and a range of new interior trim options.
The heart of the update is the new digital cockpit, which features a more integrated 12.7-inch infotainment display and a larger, 14-inch digital instrument cluster. Not to be left out, there’s also a new 6.6-inch touchscreen mounted just to the left of the steering wheel. These driver-centric displays have allowed Chevrolet’s designers to ditch that infamous button wall on the center console, opting instead for a much cleaner and more streamlined look.

Mirna Bajer, Senior Program Manager at General Motors, said that the driver will have the ability to “highly customize the gauges across the three screens”. Despite the fact that the number of button has been greatly reduced, Brian Stoeckel, Creative Design Manager, said that having “really good physical controls” was a priority for the designers.
The drive mode selector has been relocated, which opens up space for a wireless charging pad beneath the touchscreen, complete with a cover to keep your smartphone in place. The volume knob has been increased in size and illuminated at the base, while HVAC controls have been moved to the base of the touchscreen for better accessibility.
Smarter, Sleeker, and More Convenient

The redesigned center console isn’t just about looks, as it also offers practical improvements. Two cup holders now sit within ambient lighting, a USB-C port is included, and there’s a grab handle for the passenger.
As for the interior upholstery, there are four additional color schemes available on all models. These include the Sky Cool and Medium Ash Gray with Habanero accents, the self-explanatory Santorini Blue, the Very Dark Atmosphere (Chocolate Brown, Jet Black, and Natural Tan), plus the Ultimate Suede (Jet Black with Adrenaline Red, Santorini Blue, or Competition Yellow stitching and seatbelts). Furthermore, the Corvette is offered for the first time with an asymmetrical interior colorway, combining a Jet Black driver’s seat with an Adrenaline Red passenger seat
For the ZR1, the new carbon fiber frame around the digital instrument cluster is standard, but if you’re rocking an E-Ray or Z06, you can choose to add it as an option. A cool feature is the electrochromic targa roof glass offering a choice between full, medium, and low tint options. Finally, the cupholders have real aluminum in the 2LT/2LZ and 3LT/3LZ trims.
No Changes To The Exterior Design
Despite the notable interior upgrades, the exterior of the 2026 Corvette has been carried over from its predecessor. However, there are small differences in the exterior trim, including two new shades (Roswell Green Metallic and Blade Silver Metallic), and an asymmetrical center stripe available in Edge Red or Carbon Flash.
While there are no changes to the powertrain lineup or the chassis setup, the optional ZTK performance package gains the largest carbon ceramic brakes ever to be fitted to a production Corvette, featuring 10-piston front and 6-piston rear calipers.
Phil Zak, executive design director at Chevrolet, put it like this: “The design team considered every element – from materials, to stitching, to layout of the interior – for the 2026 Corvette. Paired with the new screens and technology, the refreshed interior enables a refined experience for the driver and the passenger.”
This is a developing story and will be updated…
