With spring upon us, tourists across the UK are looking for the country’s most beautiful places to visit. TikTok user @uktravel has all the details for those on the hunt for some of the best places in the UK to visit this year.
The user has compiled a list of 25 beautiful spots in the UK that one must visit in the year. The list includes scenic towns, villages, and some spots that will leave you mesmerised.
In a one-minute-long video, the social media user shared breathtaking photos of the places including Whitby, Saltburn by the Sea, Minack Theatre, Isle of Skye, and many more.
From picturesque towns to tiny little villages, the list has it all.
The top on the list was Whitby, a gorgeous seaside town located on the North Yorkshire coast.
One of the most iconic landmarks in Whitby is its dramatic ruined abbey, Whitby Abbey, which towers over the town on a cliff top.
The abbey is said to have inspired Bram Stoker’s “Dracula,” as it is where the famous novel’s author found inspiration for his gothic tale during a visit to Whitby in 1890.
And the sentiments were echoed by the social media users who agreed with the top choice.
One user commented on the video: “Whitby is my favourite place I must say.”
A second user said: “Whitby is the most gorgeous place I have ever visited, straight out of a book.”
Also on the list are the very famous Cotswold, Isle of Skye, Durdle Door, and Minack Theatre.
The Minack Theatre is a unique open-air theatre located on the rugged cliffs of Porthcurno in Cornwall, England.
It is renowned for its stunning natural setting and has become one of the most famous outdoor theatres in the world.
