India’s wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan hasn’t followed Rahul Dravid’s instructions and continues to be unavailable for Ranji Trophy 2024. Jharkhand has no information about Ishan. He left the South Africa tour mid-way and was not considered for the T20I series against Afghanistan.
As per PTI, Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) secretary said that Kishan hasn’t spoke to anyone about his intention to play for the state team. “We don’t have any information about him. However, he will walk straight into the Playing XI whenever he tells us,” Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) secretary Debasish Chakraborty told the agency.
Speaking on Kishan, Dravid said that no disciplinary action was taken against him as reported by media outlets. “Ishan Kishan will have to play domestic cricket first to return to the Indian team. He will have to make himself available and then compete in a Ranji Trophy contest before playing for India.”
There were reports that the BCCI and selectors were miffed with the 25-year-old for partying with MS Dhoni despite taking a break for mental fatigue. His appearance on one of the popular quiz show was not taken lightly by the officials.
