SRH’s batting struggled badly as Mitchell Starc and the bowlers took control of the game. After early dismissals, including Abikesh Sharma being run out, Starc’s brilliant bowling in the powerplay left SRH at a shaky 37-4.
Heinrich Klaasen and Aniket Verma then formed a strong partnership, scoring 77 runs off 42 balls. Klaasen was in great form, making 32 runs off 14 balls, including 2 fours and 2 sixes, before being dismissed.
However, the remaining SRH batters couldn’t handle the pressure from the bowlers. Aniket Verma was the top scorer, making 74 runs off 41 balls, with 5 fours and 6 sixes. Travis Head was the only other batter to reach double digits, scoring 22 runs off 12 balls, including 4 fours. Mitchell Starc was the star bowler, picking up 5 wickets, while Kuldeep Yadav took 3 and Mohit Sharma claimed 1. SRH were all out for 163 in 18.4 overs.
