Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer has won the toss and elected to bat first against Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League 2025. “We will bat first. The wicket has been playing well. Dew comes in, but it didn’t impact the outfield. Teams batting first have won the game. We need to up our game, especially in the fielding and take catches,” Shreyas Iyer said.
Kolkata Knight Riders captain Ajinkya Rahane would have bowled first in any case.
“We would have bowled first on this wicket. Toss you can’t control. You have to start well in the batting or the bowling. We have batters who can chase down any total. Moeen Ali misses out, and Anrich Nortje replaces him. Anrich has been working hard in the nets, and it would be interesting to see his bowling,” Ajinkya Rahane said.
