Travis Head and Abhishek Head started the Indian Premier League from where they had left off in the previous season. The two went after the Rajasthan Royals bowlers from the first over of the contest and scored runs with a strike rate of over 200. Abhishek amassed 24 runs off 11 balls, laced with 5 fours.
On the other hand, Head completed another fifty in the league. The southpaw managed 67 runs off 31 balls, with the help of 9 fours and 3 sixes.
Former India player Navjot Sidhu slammed Rajasthan’s stand-in captain Riyan Parag for inviting Hyderabad to bat first after winning the toss.
“Riyan Parag made a mistake by asking Hyderabad to bat first on a flat track. There is a question mark on the captaincy of a young cricketer. Despite knowing Sunrisers’ strength, he gave them what they wanted.
“It would have been wise for Rajasthan to bat first over here and put runs on the board to put Hyderabad on the back foot in the second innings. I don’t know the logic behind bowling first,” Navjot Singh Sidhu said on Star Sports.
