Virat Kohli is one of the best batters of his generation. He has scored more than 24,00 runs in 522 matches for India across formats. The right-handed batter has been a genuine match-winner for India, and with him at the crease, it is difficult for the rivals to win the game. However, former India player Praveen Kumar said that Rohit Sharma is the most dangerous batter.
According to Praveen, Virat Kohli can be dismissed easily, but with Rohit, things are different.
Kumar was a part of six Tests, 68 ODIs, and 10 T20Is for the Men in Blue. He represented Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings, Mumbai Indians, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Lions in the Indian Premier League. Praveen has played with both Virat and Rohit in Team India.
“Rohit plays late. I have bowl to Virat Kohli and it is easy to dismiss him and catch him. I am talking about the earlier times. It is difficult now. Rohit can also be caugh or dismissed . But I think Rohit Sharma is a more dangerous batter than Virat,” he told Shubhankar Mishra.
The former player also slammed Hardik Pandya for missing the Ranji Trophy games. He said that the BCCI should take action against the all-rounder for not giving importance to the red-ball matches. He accused the Indian cricket board of setting up different rules for different players.
He said Hardik should give in writing that he would never play Test cricket and only focus on white-ball formats.
