Reserve Bank of India has lifted restrictions on Kotak Mahindra Bank allowing the lender to on-board new customers through its online and mobile banking channels. It can now issue new credit cards. The central bank had placed restrictions on the bank on April 24, 2024.
ASM Technologies is planning to invest ₹510 crore to expand its design-led manufacturing and precision engineering capacity in Karnataka. The company has signed an agreement with the Karnataka government for the investments, under which it plans to acquire 10 acres of land from the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) to set up a design facility.

Torrent Group “through its holding company Torrent Investments Private Ltd (TIPL), has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire a majority stake of 67 per cent in the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise, Gujarat Titans,” it said in a statement.
ONGC NTPC Green has signed an agreement with NIIF and three other entities to acquire a 100 per cent stake in Ayana Renewable Power at an enterprise value of ₹19,500 crore. ONGC NTPC Green is a 50:50 joint venture between ONGC Green Limited (OGL) and NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) — the listed subsidiary of power giant NTPC. Ayana Renewable Power Private Ltd (Ayana) is a leading player in the renewable energy sector having 4.1 GW operational and under-construction assets with a development pipeline of 1 GW. A majority of Ayana’s portfolio is strategically located in resource-rich states and is contracted with high credit-rated off-takers such as SECI, NTPC, GUVNL, Indian Railways, among others.
ICICI Bank on Wednesday said the bank intends to retain majority holding in ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company even though its joint venture partner plans listing and partial divestment of its stake in the fund house.vICICI Bank holds 51 per cent stake in ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company while the remaining 49 per cent is with its joint venture partner UK-based Prudential Plc. Prudential plc announced that it is evaluating a potential listing of ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company Ltd involving the partial divestment of its shares. It is intended that following the completion of such a divestment, the net proceeds would be returned to shareholders, Prudential plc said in an announcement.
