Sunrisers Hyderabad have lost three consecutive matches in the Indian Premier League 2025. The 2016 champions started their campaign with a 44-run win over Rajasthan Royals at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium. However, they have since gone down to Lucknow Super Giants, Delhi Capitals, and Kolkata Knight Riders. After their 80-run loss against KKR, the franchise has slipped to 10th spot in the points table.
The batting unit has failed, with the likes of Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, and Ishan Kishan finding it hard to get going. In the batting department, Pat Cummins and Mohammed Shami haven’t enjoyed consistent success.
Navjot Singh Sidhu has warned SRH captain Cummins of the consequences if the losing streak is not broken.
“Tension can eat an alive man. You will not realize it, but the downfall will be quick. Don’t take the Indian Premier League lightly. The batters of the Sunrisers Hyderabad are getting over-aggressive. They will have to respect the conditions. The franchises have a capable coaching staff, and they are coming prepared against SRH batters this season.
“They got away in the last season because the rival teams were not prepared for their brand of cricket, but they now know what needs to be done to stop their batters from scoring runs. The plans have been executed, and we can see that SRH batters are struggling,” Sidhu said on Star Sports.
