Virat Kohli will face heat for how he batted in the IPL 2024 game against Chennai Super Kings. He didn’t start aggressively, and his slow innings again played a role in his team’s defeat. After missing cricket for months, he failed to strike the ball and hit only 1-six in his score of 21 runs.
Faf admitted that his team was 15-20 runs, and Kohli played a role in it. He faced 20 balls but didn’t hit a single boundary.
Mustafizur Rahman took his wicket, and former India player Harbhajan Singh said that the Bangladesh bowler took his first two scalps on good balls, but the next two batters gifted their wickets.
“Rahman bowled well, and his two wickets in the form of Faf and Rajat Patidar were on good deliveries, but the next two batters gifted their wickets to the bowler,” Harbhajan Singh said on Star Sports.
“Virat Kohli tried to play differently from his natural game and paid the price. He was looking good, and there are still many games left in the season for him to stage a comeback,” he added.
After Patidar’s dismissal, Bhajji felt that RCB should have sent Anuj Rawat to bat. “Sending Glenn Maxwell was a wrong move. Anuj Rawat should have batted in his place.”
RCB were restricted to 173/6 in 20 overs while the defending champions completed the run chase in 19.3 overs with 6 wickets in hand.
