Virat Kohli added another failure in his never ending list when he went for a shot on a bit wide delivery and was caught by Usman Khawaja in the slip cordon. The right-handed resisted for a while but gave up against Mitchell Starc. There are reports of him retiring from Test cricket after the fifth Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25.

However, former India player Ravi Shastri doesn’t think so. He was asked about Virat Kohli Rohit Sharma’s future by Mark Nicholas.
“I don’t think Virat Kohli is retiring. He will be around for four-five years. There is a lot of cricket left in him,” Ravi Shastri said.
Shastri gave a hint that it is all over for Rohit. “He movement has become slow and he is coming late on the ball. It is up to him to decide after the end of the series in Australia,” he added.
Kohli has amassed just one hundred while posting ordinary scores in the remaining chances. On the other hand, Rohit has been a burden since landing in Australia, registering failure after failure.
