Team India batter, Rinku Singh recently gained attention for a heartwarming gesture towards a fan. A video shared by his IPL franchise, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), captured the moment when Rinku obliged a fan’s request for an autograph. In the video, the fan affectionately referred to Rinku as the ‘Sixer King.’
In their caption, KKR highlighted Rinku’s ability to spread joy and bring smiles to every face. The cricketer had a commendable performance against Australia in the fifth and final T20I in Bengaluru. Throughout the series, Rinku accumulated 105 runs in four innings with an impressive average of 52.50, featuring four sixes and 13 boundaries.
Following his standout performances, Rinku Singh earned a spot in India’s T20I and ODI squads for the upcoming tour of South Africa. The left-handed batsman is set to showcase his skills in the opener on December 10.
Rinku Singh made his T20I debut earlier in the year during India’s tour of Ireland, and his consistent displays for KKR in the last two IPL seasons contributed to his well-deserved call to the national squad.
In 2023, he emerged as the leading run-scorer for KKR, amassing 474 runs in 14 matches at a striking rate of 149.53, including four half-centuries. Notably, Rinku’s popularity soared when he smashed five consecutive sixes against Gujarat Titans, securing a thrilling victory for KKR when they needed 28 runs off the last five balls.
